It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas novella time!

What is the MAIN thing about the Haberdashers books? (Well, other than the romance.) Friendship! So I thought it would be fun to figure out what each book would be titled if it were a Friends episode. Crank up the Rembrandts and put on your ratty jeans, we’re going into the wayback machine to the 90s.

Today the seventh book in the Haberdashers series, Justice for Sisyphus, hits the virtual shelves. We know the hero, because he’s the steward of Kellington from the first book. Trials of Artemis. You remember, the steward who was fired for hiding smuggling from the earl. Oops.

In case you’ve forgotten, the smugglers in the first book were one of the plots that weaves through the series. There’s also the Hellfire Club known as The Four. Or wait, is that the same plot? It’s all starting to come together in book seven, Justice for Sisyphus. Along with our hero and heroine Philip and Desdemona we have returning heroes and heroines Gideon, Jacqueline, Robert, Casimir, and George. Bobbins makes an appearance, who will soon be a hero in his own right with the upcoming Christmas novella Secrets of the Season. And we also meet the hero of the twelfth and final book… but I’ll just leave you wondering about that.
The arc of Act II will conclude in book eight, Loving Echo, which should be out in a couple of months. Then it will be time to drive towards the epic conclusion. Why would we need to gather together so many heroes and heroines of both brain and brawn. Well, you’ll see.

It’s finally time! Book seven in the Haberdashers series will be out this month! An army officer and young widow are falling in love, but each has a dark past they are afraid to share. Pre-Order on your favorite platform!
An army officer and young widow are falling in love, but each has a dark past they are afraid to share.
Philip Gladstone joined the Army after the shame of leaving Lord Harington’s service under suspicion of smuggling. Through hard work and dedication he has risen to the rank of Lieutenant. Upon mustering out he meets a beautiful young widow whom he thinks may have feelings for him, but fears telling her about his past.

With Pheme’s Regret in Fall 2019 we were officially half-way through the Haberdashers series, and also halfway through “Act II.” In Act I we learned who the Haberdashers really were and in Act II we are learning what they are really up against.
Justice for Sisyphus, coming out in 2020, picks up the story of the Earl of Harington’s wayward steward Philip Gladstone after Philip musters out of His Majesty’s Army. Philip finds himself caught up in the mysteries around a woman named Desdemona Merlo. Will he compromise his loyalties yet again?
To finish out Act II, in Loving Echo Samantha Walters decides she is tired of waiting for her majority before marrying Justin Miller. Unfortunately, Justin doesn’t agree with her plan. She proves that Jack isn’t the only impulsive Walters sister, disappearing for months and returning with an unexpected prize.

Hope you are safe and well during this time of #socialdistancing. Work has actually been crazy busy for me, but this weekend I had a little time on my hands. Along with writing a bunch of words (yay!) I also created an Upcoming page for my website to highlight some of the other books I will get to after (and maybe a little during) finishing up the Haberdashers series. For all of my friends who have been WAITING for some SFF, scroll down on that page and you will see some are planned. Some of my favorite covers are posted to the end of this blog post, too.
We also set up an website to sell Graythorn Publishing books directly to fans! If the site continues to do well it might be the only source for Graythorn pre-sales. It’s not just Sue London books but also the Werechaun Chronicles from Andy Click and the upcoming horror novel Wendigogo (Reluctant Wendigo Book 1) from K.A. Silva.
Two Haberdashers novels should be released in 2020. Justice for Sisyphus by June and Loving Echo (finally! Sam & Justin!) by December. If you’re a Haberdashers fan thank you for hanging in there for this journey. We are most of the way to revealing the Bear and then we will see what becomes of the Swan.
And in case you haven’t visited the website lately I have three novellas coming up in collections this summer/fall. It is a Haberdashers-adjacent series about George’s cousins, the Flowers sisters. So keep an eye out for The Wallflower Way, Tempted by the Windflower, and the Wildflower’s Rogue.
Now here are some of the covers for stuff we should see in the next year or so!

The debut will be a little later than hoped, but this cover is ab fab.
“They shared friendship and tragedy, but could there be love?”
An unlikely couple is paired at a summer house party. Their budding friendship is cut short by a horrid accident. Will they be able to find love through tragedy?
Charlie Bittlesworth was invited to a summer idle, and hopes to use the time to sell some of his premium livestock. He thinks it a small matter to pay some kind attention to the cousin of his hostess.
Charlotte Ayres has been cloistered in her father’s academic circles at Cambridge all of her life. She feels out of her element at her cousin’s estate, but has never met a man quite like the one she is paired her with for her stay.
Early access will be given to Patron members, with Kindle, et al publication to follow.
Did you hear the news? SAVING PERSEPHONE WILL HIT THE STREETS MAY 31, 2015! Thanks to everyone for your patience as I’ve worked on this book. It has been a hard one to write and life, alas, kept getting in the way.
I will be available for some blog touring and will kick it off on Friday, May 29th at Buried Under Romance. There will be a giveaway and everything! If you would like for me to visit your blog – which can be an interview, excerpt, giveaway, whatever – just drop a comment here or an email to suetours@graythorn.com. Somewhere in all that I will be giving away 25 limited edition book announcements (pic at left).
Thanks again everybody!! Now I just have to hope that you love Robert and Imogen as much as I do. Check out the excerpt below.
When Imogen finally did receive correspondence from a Bittlesworth, it wasn’t from the one she wanted. This one now went by Telford.
“What is it?” Violetta asked, on pins and needles. As far as her cousin was concerned, Imogen was being ignored by the duchess that only weeks ago had been treating her with favor. Little did Vi know, but the first and only time Imogen had spoken to the girl they had been ghastly rude to one another.
Imogen pasted a false smile on her face to report what the short note said. “She wants to take a carriage ride and reminisce over our time together at Belle Fleur.”
“Splendid!” Violetta enthused.
But was this note actually from the duchess, or did Robert hope to steal her away for an afternoon? Neither idea filled her with delight, but both made her curious. Regardless, she would be gone in another week. She penned her acceptance.
Saving Persephone
I will be announcing the release date (and posting a pre-sale link) for Saving Persephone at Christi Caldwell’s release party for “Loved By a Duke” on May 7th at 7pm! Come join us for fun on Facebook!
Taming Chiron (tentative title)
Today I sent out an email to the Haberdashers email subscribers who had asked to be on the Focus Group list. My question was what name choose for the heroine. The votes so far:
Charlotte is winning by a landslide! As I live in Charlottesville, this entertains me. If you want to vote, go to http://eepurl.com/blcvkb. While you’re there, feel free to click the “Subscribe” button on the top left!
