Thank you for your review!

The best read ever it keeps u on the edge of your seat right to the very end well done can’t wait for the next story

Loved the characters and most especially, the dialogue! Touching, often funny, with real emotion for the two. No stereotypical alpha males and shrinking violet here. I first read book 2, and while very enjoyable, this book 1 is pure Gold! Can’t wait to read book 3.

A complicated story as it begins with one person and topic then goes to another. Sue London is brilliant as she weaves a tale of loss on so many levels. Loss of a daughter, when she had no choice but to give her up, but now it seems she has found her. Loss of a gentleman’s youth and title as he was accused of something untrue, but had to flee.
A group of ladies, the Haberdashers that are a story of their own and an almost crazed gentleman pursuing the heroine.
Whew! It took me a couple of chapters but as the story began to unfold, I was fascinated and seriously could not wait to see what would happen!!
Written in a different style but fast paced, I can only recommend that you grab this story and sit back, because you will not be able to stop until you get to the end!!

Both Sabre’s and Robert’s have been my absolute favorite stories in this series thus far. I had a fondess for Robert right from the start so being able to read his tale was great. Loved the mystical introduction as well as it balances perfectly for someone like him I think. Although I would prefer more of an ending since this one seems a bit rushed as some of the others have been. I’m looking forward to more in this series and all this Haberdashers.

Georgiana Lockhart, better known as George to her Haberdasher sisters, is on a mission. As an agent of the Crown she has been well-trained. Her mission is to gather information and it wasn’t supposed to be how well Casimir could kiss her and sweep her off her feet. At least she has her pretend marriage to help her resist him. Right.
Casimir Rokiczana is determined to help his country regain its freedom. He doesn’t expect to meet and fall for the beautiful Gina Appleton…especially since she’s already married. Tell his heart that though.
These two spies struggle to each help their own country while fighting their attraction. And the biggest step of all is to learn to trust each other. And speaking of trust…George’s Haberdasher sisters are not at all happy to find out she’s been keeping secrets from them. Once again the personalities were so strong and easy to fall in love with.

Kudos to an outstanding author who writes with grace and humour. Gideon and “Jack” are perfect for one another despite their mutual distaste for marriage. Mistaken identity and potential social ruin bring this unlikely couple together. Misunderstanding and a daring rescue by “Jack” are portrayed quite well. Wishing I could give this novel ten stars. I’m looking forward to reading about the other Haberdashers with great anticipation.

I really love this author and specifically this series! This seventh book was a long wait but totally worth it. Usually I am not a fan of redemption plots, but Sue London knows how to make it work! It is not your usual historical romance, there is also plenty of action and spying and this is what makes this series stand out.
The two main characters are utterly lovable!

There’s so much to love about this series: intelligent, kick-ass protagonists; interesting plots; fun banter and clever descriptions. But if I had to choose one thing that makes the series one of my all time favorites, it’s the depth and complexity of the relationships. Beyond the main couples, the Haberdashers themselves are ride or die. Love and friendship between siblings, friends, and more is woven so deeply throughout the stories that I want to roll around in the interactions like a puppy in clover. (Is that a thing?)
In this latest book, our protagonists are wonderfully well-matched. Desdemona has such a strong sense of self, and Philip’s integrity shines through even with the grievous mistakes of his past. They also yearn for different things, and I love how they find ways to both be happy.
On a personal level, I adore adventurous partnership. I was delighted that, after they come together as a couple, the rest of the book is the two of them working together to [SPOILER REDACTED BUT TRUST ME IT’S EXCITING AND A LOT OF FUN.] I definitely recommend this for anyone who likes strong, capable, loving characters who are able to work together to overcome any challenge.
