FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions

About Sue London

(for Frequently Asked Questions about Th e Haberdashers go here)

Q: Is Sue London your real name? There are other Sue Londons out there.

A: No, Sue London is my pen name but it has been my pen name since 1983. Long before I’d heard of any others.

Q: Why haven’t you published any books before Trials of Artemis?

A: I’ve tried. And have the rejection letters to prove it. (Started querying in 1985.) Decided to do the self-publishing route and started with historical romance because it is fun and popular.

Q: Where can I find out more about you?

A: I do interviews from time to time. You can find them on this page. Or you can interview me and learn new things!

Q: How can I contact you?

A: Check out my LinkTree or put a comment on one of my blogs.

Q: Do you only write romance?

A: No, I pretty much write anything. Because I love to read everything. I love speculative fiction (science fiction, fantasy, etc.), mystery, romance, the backs of cereal boxes… And let’s not forget non-fiction. I read a ton of that, too, and have some books planned. My favorite thing to write is basically… words. I love words.

Q: Do you plan to write other romance books after The Haberdashers?

A: I’ve written a few things Haberdashers-adjacent and have one contemporary romance out so far. I have a lot of romance books planned, including a ton of books for the next generation after the Haberdashers characters.

About the Haberdashers

Q: When will the next Haberdashers book be out?

A: All I can commit to is “soon.” I keep making plans and God keep laughing (and holding my head underwater).

Q: How many Haberdashers books will there be?

A: Twelve are planned.

Q: When will ALL of the Haberdashers books be out?

A: That’s a great question.

Q: When will the books be available in print?

A: As soon as I can figure out book formatting.

Q: What are the rest of the books about?

A: Each book will be the love story of a particular couple, but the Haberdashers will always be involved. And… there is an underlying plot for all twelve books.

Q: Are the Haberdashers books 100% historically accurate?

A: Not really, nor are they meant to be. Many books of this genre are really historical fantasy. However, I put an author’s note at the back of my books to disclose what I discovered in my research and what elements I’ve included on purpose or changed on purpose. Other stuff? Assume I made it up. (Also, if you’ve read more than three books on a particular historical event you know that NOTHING can be 100% historically accurate unless there is verified documentation. Even experts often disagree on what really happened!)

  1. Hello Sue,
On storiesspace.com I found the first chapter of “the case of the curious ghost”. I liked it a lot and it made me want more. Did you ever finish that story and if so, where can I find it? If you did not, is there any chance you will?
    With regards,
    Paul

    1. Thanks Paul! The story is not quite complete yet but you can read more of it on my “Big Bowl of Morning Serial” blog. I do plan to write a number of “Certified Necromantic Mages” novellas and am glad they already have a fan. I’ve loved those guys for years.
